When I first heard about TapSwap, the first thing that came to my mind was, “Oh great, another making money app that I’ll probably ignore“, so I started digging. It seems that TapSwap was created by a guy called Naz Ventura, who was interested in the Web3 gaming space. His idea was born in January 2025, and the game officially launched on February 15, 2024.

TapSwap and the idea behind this popular tap-to-earn game
The idea behind TapSwap is very simple and straightforward: Players can easily access the game from Telegram, and they get rewarded based on their abilities, rather than their spending powers, an approach that brought millions of people within a few days since its launch. But what exactly is this game and the coins that it gives?
These coins (known as TAPS coins) can be used for in-game purchases and upgrades, and they can even be traded for cryptocurrency. But as a how-to-make-money-online blog, we’re only focusing here on trading those TAPS coins for cryptos – because, well, upgrades and in-game purchases won’t pay the rent. The game is simple, easy to access, and offers daily challenges, codes, and special events to keep the experience dynamic and engaging. It appeals to both casual gamers and crypto enthusiasts alike.
I’ve downloaded and installed Telegram, and I gave TapSwap a try, and here’s how it went, how many rewards I’ve earned, how much time I spent, and all in between.
How to start playing TapSwap and earn coins
The first thing that you’ll need to do is download and install Telegram – then simply create an account. The game works only within the app, and once you’ve created your new profile, tap on Telegram’s search icon and look for “@tapswap_bot” or “TapSwap“.
Join the game’s channel and tap on “Start” and then “Play“.
There are three main ways to make money using TapSwap at this stage: First, you can start tapping on the coin located at the center of your screen, which is limited to 500 taps, and automatically starts increasing them as time goes by. The more taps you do, the more coins you’ll earn, simple as that.
Secondly, you can start earning by completing various tasks, such as watching YouTube videos, joining TapSwap’s social media platforms and subscribing to their channels, joining the Button Bot, claiming your leagues, and even referring (inviting) your friends.
Third and last, you can earn more coins by playing the main game, which is basically called “Tappy Town”, a city-building game that lets you build and upgrade your buildings, manage your resources, and ultimately, earn more rewards.
Using the TapSwap Codes to earn free coins
There are some special codes – that you can usually find online on various websites – that once you redeem, you’ll get a few free rewards, including coins. You can add these special codes by navigating to “Task” or “Cinema Mode” and applying them there.
There are new special codes that are getting released each day, so if you want to make the most out of SwapTap, you’ll have to search and apply them daily. You can also get daily codes that offer bonus rewards for logging in daily, completing simple tasks, watching more YouTube videos, completing video-related challenges, and more.
Unfortunately, this is where things are getting a bit silly with TapSwap: It puts you on YouTube, constantly watching – mostly useless – videos (that contain ads) and asking you to find the code and paste it within the app. The comment sections in these videos are also closed, so don’t expect to quickly find a guy who already found the code and paste it there.
It seems to me that this is a great marketing strategy for players to lose their time while the creators of those YouTube channels make as much money as they can through ads – and believe me, they’re not helpful or interesting at all, especially if you know about cryptocurrency, how to passive income works, ways to make money online, and so on.
How much time does it take to earn your first bucks from TapSwap?
I’ve been using Tapswap for over two hours now, and I’ve basically made nothing. Zero. Nada. I’ve made all the millions of coins that I could make by completing all the tasks, and I even spent lots of them to increase and boost my earnings, but if it was that easy, I guess everyone would be rich by now, so I guess you get the point with those kinds of tap-to-earn games.
You’re not going to make lots of money using TapSwap, but if you constantly play games and you want to invest in crypto, the game gives you an easy way to play and earn. Theoretically, you can ultimately create a passive income from cryptocurrencies, but that will take lots of time and lots, lots of playing, applying special codes, upgrading your buildings, and tapping your screen.

Crypto enthusiasts may or may not like TapSwap, depending on how serious they are when it comes to investing and how much time they can spend on the game.
